On Septtember 7, 2024,  we celebrated Vinayaka Chaturthi at Sri Karpaga Vinayakar shrine at the entrance of our ashram.

As usual Sri Vishnu Sastrigal graced the occasion and performed Ganapathi Homam and Special poojas. Sri and Smt Sivakumar from Bangalore took charge as they do every year and did everything with utmost shraddha bhakti. May Sri Karpaga Vinayakar bless them and their family!

The other highlight of the celebration was the inauguration of the pond ‘Aha thamarai‘ at our ashram premises (in front of the office building). Sri Vishnu Sastrigal performed a special pooja and the pond was inaugurated with the chanting of Ganga stotram.

The pond was conceived and beautifully executed by Akhila amma from Bangalore and sponsored by her mother Lalitha amma. We invoke the blessings of the Lord Arunachala Atmalingeswara and Apeetakucha Karunambal on them!

We honoured the workers headed by Sri Parashuram from the ‘Forest way’ who built the pond meticulously. We got a golden ring for Parashuram and watches for other workers. Also everyone was treated with a sumptuous lunch in appreciation of their dedicated hard work.

Apart from the pond, the whole entrance area was given a wonderful facelift with pergola in front of the office, pathways, benches to sit on the sides and other touch ups such that the entire area was totally transformed.

All due to the diligent efforts of Akhila amma who not only came in person and supervised the work but also coordinated with different parties to get the work done. We also appreciate Sri Ramesh, her husband who quietly always support her from behind.

Sarvam Sri Ramanarpanam astu!
