Upanishad Jnana Ganga
Upanishad Jnana Ganga, a series of discourses on the Upanishads, has completed its first leg at the Kannada Sangha School premises in Ayanavaram. The Yajna kicked off with an introductory talk on March 30th & 31st through which Swamiji gave a thought-stimulating and inspiring introduction about the Upanishads that set the tone for the rest of the discourses.
From April 18th to 22nd, Swamiji spoke about the Isavasya Upanishad which points out that the entire universe is pervaded by the Supreme Lord, guiding the seeker to realize this Truth and live firmly established in it.
In the third month, from 16th to 21st May, Swamiji delivered talks on the Kena Upanishad. The fascinating Kena Upanishad is based on a high-flown conversation between the Guru and the Shishya about the Self that is ‘different from the known and beyond the unknown’. The six-day yajna saw Swamiji delve into great depths to try and bring clarity to the subtle concepts contained in the Upanishad, leaving the audience floating in awe and contemplation.
With this Upanishad, the lectures at Ayanavaram come to an end. AVM lauds the efforts of Sri. P. Manikandan and his family in organizing the yajna and working towards spreading our ancient wisdom for the welfare of people.
Devotees showed keen interest in the talks and expressed their eagerness to be part of the upcoming discourses that propose to cover Kata, Mundaka, Taittriya, Kaivalya Upanishads by the end of the year.
The Upanishad Jnana Ganga next flows to Om Murugashram in West Mambalam from June to August wherein the death-conquering Kata Upanishad shall be spoken about across the three months. All are welcome to be part of the Yajna and take in the knowledge that leads one to immortality.
